The world is huge, and the walls are so much higher than I imagined. theinkfactorylyon Only a few years after becoming a tattoo artist, I had the chance to stand on the same stage as artists I had admired since before I even started tattooing—to speak with them, connect with them, and share the same space. I’m incredibly grateful to Horishige-san horishige for creating this opportunity, and to Teo teomilev and everyone at The Ink Factory for welcoming all of us from Japan so warmly. It was such a happy, inspiring few days, surrounded by work so insanely good that all I could do was laugh. One piece of advice I received will stay with me for a very long time: “Your work is difficult to judge within the boundaries of a genre. But never lose what makes your work yours. Keep your boldness, your playful compositions, and your individuality. Awards are not everything, so take your time.” I’m also deeply grateful to Bizen-san for always guiding me and connecting me with so many people, and to Kaira and Akatsuki for making this journey with me.
