About

My name is Kazz, and I work as the representative and artist under the studio name WANOKUNI. My aim is to cultivate 'Wa' through my unique and free expressions, primarily based on sumifude (ink brush), in areas such as tattoos, designs, murals, live painting, and apparel.

Concept

My designs are primarily black-based, featuring Japanese culture, characters, natural elements, animals, and abstract art, mainly created with sumifude (ink brush) and hand-drawn techniques. However, I constantly seek individuality and originality, and I want to continue to evolve and grow freely without being bound by conventional styles.

History

I have been interested in art since childhood, and while primarily expressing my personal feelings, I have continued to draw in my own style to this day, creating designs for various artists, producing murals for restaurants, and performing at live events. I have had irezumi on my own body for about 28 years, but I have been working as a tattoo artist myself for 5 years. I have also learned a great deal from many masters during guest work, and it has been 3 years since I established my own studio. Thanks to everyone involved, my artistic background has been particularly beneficial, and I believe I have rapidly reached my current status as a tattoo artist. However, as an individual and an artist, I want to constantly strive for improvement, never forgetting my initial passion and gratitude.

Message

I believe that tattoos are a collaborative work of life and the ultimate art form, only made possible when a design materializes the client's vision onto the canvas of their body. Many of my clients are getting their first tattoo, or are from distant places or overseas. I strive to reach even greater heights so that my expressions live up to the feedback I receive. If you are interested, please do not hesitate to contact me for a consultation.
