About

Hello, or nice to meet you. I am based in Amerikamura, Nishi-Shinsaibashi, Osaka. I am Uga from Haizara (studio name).

Concept

As a Japanese artist, rather than Western-style designs, I focus on creating tattoos that evoke a sense of 'wa' (Japanese aesthetics) and are visually artistic. Of course, this varies depending on the request, so not all designs are like this. Additionally, I also focus on designs that evoke fear, madness, ominousness, or aggression. My specialties include abstract genres tattooed improvisationally on the day (such as splashes, water-like flows, or patterns difficult to describe), kanji characters drawn with a brush, yokai, grotesque creatures and fictional beings, and designs inspired by ink wash painting. While slightly different from my main focus, I personally also enjoy satirical art, trompe l'oeil, and collages.

History

I received an invitation from Yu, my master at Tattoo Studio Room 11, also located in Shinsaibashi, Osaka, just like Haizara. After much thought, I decided to apprentice. After 10 years, I became independent and am now in my second year (as of 2026).

Booking policy

【Regarding booking】 Please tell me as clearly as possible: what you want, where on your body, approximate size, desired atmosphere (e.g., cool, cute, grotesque), and whether it will be color or black and grey. It might be smoother if you pick a few images from my Instagram profile and send them via DM. I will send you a rough sketch data between the booking confirmation date and the session day. Repeated revisions may incur additional charges. 【For first-time clients】 Please bring a photo ID. Health insurance cards and credit cards are not sufficient.
